23 - 28 Budweiser Select International Snow Sculpture Championships - In Breckenridge each year, blank canvases of snow become works of art. From a whimsical bouquet of enormous flowers, to thought provoking abstract shapes, sculptors form these masterpieces before thousands of spectators over the course of five days in the heart of town.

In its 17th year, artists from all over the world will come together to present intricate, awe-inspiring snow sculptures. These artists will carve twenty-ton, 12-foot-tall blocks of snow into pieces of art using only their creativity, inspiration, own two hands and permitted hand tools.

21 - Imperial Challenge The 13th Annual Imperial Challenge warms up with a 6.2 mile mountain bike ride from the Town of Breckenridge across Peak 7 to Peak 8. Followed by a 2,500 foot, wind testing ascent of Peak 8 to the top of the Imperial Bowl on the equipment of your choice. As your quadriceps quiver from oxygen deprivation and lactic acid build up, a descent to the base of Peak 8 on skis or a snowboard. 22 - The 28th Annual Bump Buffet One of the long-standing spring skiing traditions in Breckenridge, the 28th annual Bump Buffet combines talent with spirit as telemarkers tackle the bumps on Peak 8 dressed in zany costumes. 3 - 9 Hartford Ski Spectacular This is the nation’s largest winter sports festival for people with physical disabilities. The week long event, now in its 19th year, includes learn-to-ski and race programs, youth development camps, sanctioned USSA races and a celebrity fun race. The event is sponsored by leading disability insurer, The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., and is conducted by Disabled Sports USA (DS/USA), a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee. 970-453-5000

The series kicks off in Breckenridge, home to standout U.S. Snowboarding rider and former X Games champion Steve Fisher. Hannah Teter, who won halfpipe gold in Torino, is going for a three-peat at Breckenridge after winning there the last two consecutive years. Briggle House - 104 North Harris St. - The home has been restored to its 1880' s condition and contains furnishings and artifacts that depict early Breckenridge life.

Barney Ford House Museum - 111 East Washington Ave. - Victorian home and tribute to Barney L. Ford. Barney was the son of a Virginia slave who escaped via the Underground Railroad and achieved success in Breckenridge and throughout the west.

Edwin Carter 1875 Museum -111 North Ridge St. Tour Edwin Carter’s 1875 museum. Known as the "log cabin naturalist" Edwin Carter came to Breckenridge as a miner during the gold rush.

Rotary Snowplow Park - Boreas Pass Rd. at French St. The Park contains a Rotary Snowplow, boxcars, and a restored steam engine.

Valley Brook Cemetery - Airport Rd. at Valley Brook. The historic Victorian cemetery dates back to 1882. The preserved gravestones and ornate iron gates contains some of the earliest art and written history in the Breckenridge.

Main Street Historical Museum . - The museum at 111 S. Main St. is free of charge and open seven days a week from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. 970-453-9022.
